CDER Group wins the IRRV’s “Excellence in Social Inclusion” Award for 2021
CDER Group are proud to have received industry recognition for our initiatives to help vulnerable and/or socially and financially excluded customers having difficulty managing the burden of debt.
The IRRV’s Inspection Team provided the following feedback: “CDER has taken the issue of vulnerability and welfare and social inclusion seriously and have shown that it is an important part of its ethos. They have an extensive partnership network with a full training programme. They have a dedicated director with welfare responsibilities with a dedicated team and have proven that their philosophy works with good examples of how both the local authority and the resident are benefiting from their work. There is clear evidence of the outcomes and partnership working. Training and use of technology is very evident.”
CDER’s Customer Care and Welfare Director commented: “We are delighted to win this prestigious award which recognises the valuable contribution a fair and effective enforcement system makes to local communities. We believe everyone has the right to be treated fairly and our Fairness Charter ensures we consistently balance the need to recover vital public funds with the provision of an inclusive and supportive service to those who are experiencing financial difficulty or other vulnerable circumstances.
